THIRST FOUR
Festivities, not flu.
Over the festive period, I have spent the majority of my time working the dreaded christmas sales at Topshop. Having now reached my 4 day break, I have come down with the mother of all colds, meaning that my plans of socialising have been turned into lazy days spent surrounded by balled up tissues, watching dated Disney films- and just films in general!

One of the films I watched was Awaydays, which really caught my eye in every way imaginable, starting off with the soundtrack:

Love. Love. LOVE- Khaki mac's
The OST has some great stuff from the likes of Ultravox as well as some of The Cure's earlier songs, as well as some great scores which tune into today's dub scene- my favourite, Elvis' dub (score).
Besides this, I also loved the fashion within the film, a lot of which is coming back today in vintage shops and boutiques. I loved the scuffed adidas Originals and the khaki macs they were all sporting, as well as the short-back-and-sides/ long on top hair cut which has made its reappearence into fashion this year.
Another film which I watched (and went out of my way especially to ensure it was recorded on SKY) was Honey, I shrunk the kids!

American college wear
This is an absolute classic Disney film, which although might appear quite dated in terms of SFX, is quite on-trend in terms of fashion- the acid wash jeans, checkered shirts, Air Force trainers and sweat tops have also started to become popular today.
